Gold Fields are one of Australias best live artists, well respected producers and remixers and groundbreaking songwriters. Following a frenetic debut album Black Sun (2013) with international heavyweight Astralwerks the band have decided to take back control, to make the album they always wanted to, to be free and fall in love with the music all over again. To do this they returned to record the album in the same spaces in Ballarat where they cut their breakthrough single Treehouse, to make a sophomore album independent of the distractions of the music-biz. The results are exciting. The legendary Tony Espie (responsible for the mixes on both the Avalanches two cult-favourite long-players) has joined the band in the final stages to provide the mix and soul of the new album. The Glow EP and limited 12 will precede their sophomore album, released on an exciting new label Haven Sounds an imprint of highly regarded indie Dine Alone Records.
