Description
Slowdive – Souvlaki
Souvlaki is Slowdive’s second studio album, originally released in 1993. Widely regarded as a cornerstone of shoegaze, it arrived to little contemporary recognition but has since become one of the genre’s defining records.
The album features contributions from Brian Eno, who co-wrote and plays synthesizer on Sing and also appears on Here She Comes. Across its runtime, Souvlaki balances blurred, immersive textures with melodic clarity — songs that drift but never lose their shape. Intimate, spacious and quietly enduring.
