The reformed Galactic Cowboys consists of all the original members: lead vocalist Ben Huggins, drummer/vocalist Alan Doss, guitarist/vocalist Dane Sonnier, and vocalist/bassist Monty Colvin. Galactic Cowboys has always been a musical enigma. Transcending categories and creating their own musical genre, they were recognized by the industry as one of the most extraordinary bands in the world. The Cowboys put out a string of highly acclaimed albums throughout the 1990s. Outside of the grunge phenomena, the Cowboys most notable fan-base became other musicians an exclusive club that included other 1990s musical misanthropes such as Jellyfish, Kings X, and Kevin Gilbert. Reflecting both the musicality and diversity of the band, they toured primary with two other bands: Anthrax and Dream Theater. Long Way back to the Moon bursts with the freshness of the first GC album an explosion of energy and creativity that only results from 18 years of pent-up musical passion and inspiration.
