Description
The follow-up to the hugely successful Band On The Run, the 1975 release Venus and Mars continued the groups success and launched a year-long world tour.
The 1973 album Band On the Run featured a trio of Paul McCartney and wife Linda along with guitarist Denny Laine. In 1974, McCartney added guitarist Jimmy McCulloch and drummer Geoff Britton to the line-up. However, due to a personality conflict between McCulloch and Britton, Joe English was hired to replace Britton to finish the album.
The album was preceded by the single Listen To What the Man Said, which helped to boost anticipation and sales of the album.
