The deluxe edition of ‘Painter Of Dead Girls’ is finally available again after more than a decade and presents the grind legends Pig Destroyer with their original sound.
Back then as a trio and without bass, these recordings capture the powerful and varied sound of a ferocious band pushing their limits. The first half of this compilation was recorded in 2000 in preparation for the subsequent milestone “Prowler In The Yard”. The second half of the material from the late nineties represented their most sonically immersive recording to date and was recorded at Oblivion Studio (PG. 99, ENEMY SOIL, etc.).
This deluxe edition is rounded off by the long-lost song ‘Delusional Spremacy 2K’, a raw house concert live recording of ‘Rejection Fetish’ and an uncompromising cover of Helmet’s ‘In The Meantime’, which bows to the covers of the Dwarves and the Stooges. With a total of 19 great tracks, all faithfully remastered by James Plotkin, this essential album in the Pig Destroyer catalog sounds better than ever.
