Drawing on rare footage and personal archives, the film explores how those early years travelling and filming the ocean fed directly into his music. Scored by Jack Johnson with Hermanos Gutiérrez, the soundtrack reflects the films spirit of exploration, creativity and friendship, with appearances from surfers and collaborators including Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Gerry Lopez, Chris Malloy, G. Love and Ben Harper.
