This limited and numbered Vinyl Edition includes the complete Violin Concerto recordings of Anne-Sophie Mutter and Herbert von Karajan for Deutsche Grammophon on 5 LPs some of them havent been available on vinyl for two decades. Content ranges from Mutters 1978 DG debut album with Mozarts 3rd and 5th Concertos to the Concertos from Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bruch and Brahms, all with Berliner Philharmoniker, including also Mutters and Karajans 1988 interpretation of the Tchaikovsky Concerto with the Wiener Philharmoniker which was Mutters and Karajans very last cooperation before the Maestros death. All recordings have been constantly big commercial successes on all configurations.
The LPs are manufactured at optimal media on 180g Vinyl. The set includes a 16-page inlay with track listings, new liner notes by Dorothea Walchshäusl, photos and facsimiles of the recording documentation.
