I Cant Wait (For Christmas Time) is a laid-back soul pop side step, deep and melodic with harmonies that nod to Southern California cruisers. Featuring backing vocals from Kendra Morris and her band, it lands somewhere between earlier KF releases and the classic slow-burn romance of The Escorts or The Four Mints. On the flip, Snowy Night in Ohio rolls like a midnight train from Cincinnati to Memphis. Inspired by Finnigans first winter in Ohio, his affection for gospel sides, and horn arrangements in the vein of Isaac Hayes, its a glacial instrumental with a brief, heartfelt spoken message from Finnigan. Featuring Terry Cole, Jimmy James, Billy Aukstik and Morgan Price, both tracks are pitched as seasonal balm after a long year records made to be spun with friends, family, cookies, lights and the cold outside.
