Ramsey Lewis is one of the most-respected living keyboard players in jazz and related genre. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1935. He enjoyed huge jazz hits with three million-selling tunes during the 1960s: The In Crowd, Wade In The Water and Hang On Sloopy, and continues to tour and record to this day.1964s More Sounds Of Christmas was the follow-up to 1961s successful Sounds Of Christmas. The album mainly features Ramseys trio: Ramsey on piano/celeste, El Dee Young on bass/cello and Steve McCall on drums, with occasional appearances by bassist Cleveland Eaton, drummer Isaac Holt and various string players.
