Description
His raucous blend of psychobilly, blues, country, metal and rock suggests and inner starvation for true expression and honesty that, frankly, should lead you to question the conviction of everyone youve ever seen set foot on a stage. Houston Press
Bad Ingredients, Birams fourth full-length for Bloodshot Records, is a decidedly different record for those who have been following SHBs road-driven career. Recorded at Birams home studio in Austin, Texas and mastered by Jerry Tubb of Terra Nova Mastering (Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam), Bad Ingredients delivers SHBs classic throat-stomping style (Dontcha Lie To Me Baby and Victory Song), but showcases a more mature songwriterboth lyrically and musically. Its Biram at his quietest, but dont worry, Hiram Biram can still raise a riot. On Bad Ingredients, SHB maintains the blues-metal-country-punkrock but strengthens it with crack guitar playing and shrewdly crafted songwriting. Even when hes at his most quiet, it doesnt get any more real- or louder- than Scott H Biram.
