Wainwrights acclaimed debut album, Rufus Wainwright, and his sophomore album, Poses, will each be released in 2LP vinyl editions in gatefold packaging in May 2016 by Geffen/UMe. Recognized by Rolling Stone as one 1998s best albums, Rufus Wainwright is highly sought after on vinyl, as it has never been widely released on LP.
Selected by NME as a Top 10 album of 2001, Poses features Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk and Wainwrights stirring cover of Lennon/McCartneys Across The Universe. The 2LP release of Poses marks the albums vinyl debut worldwide. Wainwright received Juno Awards for Best Alternative Album in 1999 and 2002 for his album Rufus Wainwright and Poses, respectively.
