Treading a unique path, Dusky have seen their music supported by everyone from DJ legends such as Adam Beyer, Jamie Jones and Sasha to underground tastemakers like Joy Orbison, Midland and Boddika, whilst Disclosure recently tipped them as this years big thing. Their forthcoming artist album Outer and accompanying live show represent the next stage in their unique story. The Dusky project began life in 2011 with the critically acclaimed Stick By This LP on Anjunadeep, named as an album of the year by Radio 1s Pete Tong. But it was with a flurry of scene-spanning underground singles that the duo firmly established themselves with tracks like Flo Jam on Alex Arnouts Dogmatik, Calling Me on Loefahs School imprint and Beatport #1 Careless on Will Sauls Aus. From there, the story continued with the launch of their own imprint 17 Steps in 2014, as the duo developed their unique melting pots of the anthemic and the atmospheric, with nods to everything from jungle (Inta) and Belgian rave (Jilted) to festival techno (Parakeet Feet) and classic piano house (Yoohoo).
