Blue Earth Sound is an experimental jazz project led and composed by Chicago musician James Weir.

Blue Earth Sound return with ‘The St. Louis Sessions’, a new EP following the success of 2025’s ‘Cicero Nights’. Recorded in a living room studio in St. Louis with local players, the project captures a spontaneous, collaborative approach, blending cinematic jazz, soul
and groove-driven instrumentals.

Led by singles ‘Chartreuse’ and ‘Japanese Green’, the campaign positions the release within the growing global appetite for instrumental, crate-digger friendly jazz, with a strong focus on vinyl and collector audiences alongside DSP growth.
