In September 1977, David Bowie and Bing Crosby recorded Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy for Crosbys TV special Bing Crosbys Merrie Olde Christmas. Blending Crosbys stately take on the 1941 carol with Bowies specially written counter-melody, the duet captured an unlikely yet moving meeting of two generations. Broadcast later that year, it became one of Crosbys final performances before his death. Eventually released as a single in 1982, it reached number three in the UK and sold over 400,000 copies. Today, it stands as one of the most enduring and best-loved Christmas duets in popular music history. Limited edition 12″ picture disc vinyl.
