Description
Green Day – Dookie
Released in 1994, Dookie marked Green Day’s first major label album, bringing their earlier punk approach into a more structured, melodic setting. Built around fast tempos, tight songwriting and clear hooks, the record balances directness with a more accessible edge.
Longview, Basket Case and When I Come Around helped define its reach, but the album holds together as a consistent front-to-back listen rather than a collection of moments. Raw, confident and still one of the best punk-pop records ever made.
