Description
Cecil Bustamente Campbell, better known around the world as Prince Buster, was one of the most important figures in the development of ska and, ultimately, reggae music. Not just an innovator, hes also one of the more distinct and distinguished voices in the history of Jamaican popular music. I Feel The Spirit is his very first long player and was a hit both at home in Kingston, and in the West Indian clubs of London, where it would help to inspire the late 70s/early 80s 2-Tone movement. This album is one of the most important LP documents of early Jamaican ska, and features backing from ska luminaries as Drumbago, Lester Sterling, and Rico Rodriguez. ESSENTIAL!
