To further broaden their sound, they brought in specialist musicians on strings, brass, piano, and backing vocals, pushing the music beyond their own instrumental reach. Despite its expansive palette, the album remains intimate at heart. Written in remote retreats, the songs balance calm introspection with a confident embrace of vulnerability. Lyrically, Welcome to the Mood explores universal experiences of love, loss, connection, hope, and purpose, expressed through the bands warm tones and relaxed grooves.
