Description
#LetsBaRock is the new surprising, artistic project by Jakub Józef Orliński and Aleksander Dębicz. The artists created cover-versions of baroque pieces, anchoring them in a 21st century soundworld.
Aleksander Dębicz gives an example: In our version, Baroque pieces sound decidedly modern but retain their character, even if weve shifted some accents. For instance Oblivion based on Oblivion soave from Monteverdis LIncoronazione di Poppea, remains a sort of lullaby, yet in our version, it has the qualities of a trance-like, dreamlike club track.
They worked with musicians from the Polish jazz scene: Marcin Ułanowski (drums) and Wojciech Gumiński (bass), and developed a unique sound of the new baroque.
All tracks are arranged by Aleksander Dębicz, and he is featured with 3 original compositions.
