Description
Recorded live in front of a frenzied crowd at a packed concert hall, or a full house if you will, Live Full House is the third album by The J. Geils Band. Originally released in 1972, the record peaked at number 54 on the Billboard album chart. The Boston based bands first live album was recorded over two nights in April of 72 at the Cinderella Ballroom in Detroit, Michigan, and kind of set up things for the breakthrough success of their next album especially the tracks Serves You Right To Suffer and Looking For A Love which enjoyed quite some radio airplay in the States. The live album itself charted for 26 weeks and was eventually certified Gold.
Combining Chicago Blues and Classic Rock (and throwing in some Motown too), The J. Geils Bands raw energy seems to jump out of the speakers like a burning locomotive. One of the best live albums ever pressed on vinyl, be assured that this rock n roll onslaught is a blast from start to finish.
