Description
Formed in 2007, Pennsylvanias Superheaven has spent the better part of the last five years honing in on their dark and desperate sound across four EPs, an outstanding full-length debut (Jar) and an almost endless touring cycle. Hard work is engrained in their ethos and plays a big role in the inspiration for their newest record, Ours Is Chrome, out May 4 via SideOneDummy Records.
Produced by Will Yip, Ours Is Chrome consists of eleven emotionally heavy songs that drift effortlessly between genres, channelling the bands insecurities and determination into a collection of material that are simultaneously confident and downcast.
Originally formed as Daylight in 2007, the grunge revivalists changed their name to Superheaven in 2014. Although their moniker might have changed, their sound, which drew upon the driving and sludgy melodies of the 90s for inspiration, remained the same, with nods to bands like Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden still intact. Looking to reintroduce themselves to the world, they reissued their full-length debut, Jar, under their new band name in 2014.
