Neon Neon (Gruff Rhys & Boom Bip) present their new album, Praxis Makes Perfect, the follow up to 2008s Mercury Music Prize nominated Stainless Style.
Praxis Makes Perfect is a musical biopic of Italian Publisher, Giangiacomo Feltrinellis colourful life viewed through the lens of Gruff Rhys highly original sound writing and Boom Bips shimmering synth-heavy production.
Guests on this album include two previous Neon Neon co-conspirators in Josh Klinghoffer of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Cardiffs Cate Le Bon, plus Italian pop sensation Sabrina Salerno and actress Asia Argento.
Salerno best known for her multi-million selling 80s anthem Boys (Summertime Love) duets with Rhys on Shopping (I Like To). Argentos various vocal contributions include a reading from Carlo Feltrinellis Senior Service biography of his father the book that provided the initial inspiration for Praxis Makes Perfect on poignant curtain closer Ciao Feltrinelli.
Neon Neon have also teamed up with the National Theatre Wales to create unique live shows set to blur the boundaries between pop gig and theatre performance. This will be a touring production, starting in Cardiff, then moving to the Barbican and festivals across Europe in summer 2013.
