Recorded over two nights in June 1994 at The Lutheran Hall in Sapporo, ‘My Favorite Tune’ was the only solo piano album from Japanese jazz musician Ryo Fukui. Featuring liner notes from Yusuke Ogawa, it’s a beautiful bop excursion of Fukui’s own compositions and sublime takes on songs by Sonny Clark and Avery Parrish.
