Description
Silver Cycles is an album by American jazz saxophonist Eddie Harris recorded in 1968 and released on the Atlantic label. Harris is best known for introducing the electrically amplified saxophone.
The music on this record is by turns swinging, touching, and peaceful bursting with new ideas generated from Harris plunge into electronics. There is good old Latinized funk in the opening cuts, Free at Last and 1974 Blues.
Silver Cycles peaked #3 in the Jazz Albums Chart in 1969.
