Poker Flat Recordings founder and German underground dance legend Steve Bug returns to the reborn Nu Groove Records with his first ever solo EP for the legendary New York City label — the four-track ‘Let’s Work’, pressed on 12 inch vinyl and showcasing the sound of a true deep house and acid house pioneer at the top of his game. Following a run of releases alongside regular studio partner Cle, Bug steps out alone and delivers one of his strongest outings in years.

Title track ‘Let’s Work’ opens in warehouse-ready mode — memorable piano riffs, jacking house drums and suspenseful synth strings combining into a bouncy, cool and metropolitan club record that sets the tone perfectly. ‘Mr Wonders’ follows with a knowing doff of the cap to the Burrell Brothers, Larry Heard and early Moby — a track that highlights Bug’s rhythmic expertise and his deep reverence for the New York and Chicago house traditions that Nu Groove was built upon.
