Testament is often referred to as one of the most popular and influential bands in the Thrash metal scene. Their debut album ‘The Legacy’ made an immediate impact when it was first released in 1987.
‘The Legacy’ made it to many year-end lists, including that of the renowned metal publisher Metal Injection. Loudwire lists the album among the top ten thrash records not released by the Big 4. The album spawned one single release, the lead-off track ‘Over The Wall’, which the band still plays live at almost every show and which remains one of the most popular songs among fans.
