Dinah Washington skirted the boundaries of blues, jazz and popular music, becoming the most treasured black female recording artist of the 50s. Three of Washingtons songs Unforgettable, Teach Me Tonight and What a Diffrence a Day Makes have been entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame and in 1993 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
