The Stooges, fronted by the iconic Iggy Pop, are quite simply one of the most important groups of the twentieth century, their influence belying their comparatively modest sales during their short career. ‘Now Playing’ is an introduction to their grimy, depraved and thrilling psych/garage rock oeuvre, its ten tracks taken from their first two studio albums (1969’s ‘The Stooges’ and 1970’s ‘Fun House’).
