Description
Its been ten years since Milburns major label debut Well Well Well. Now the band, who kick started the Sheffield revival that would give birth to amongst others Arctic Monkeys and Reverend & The Makers, are back. When Milburn parted company eight years ago, it seemed that they may be remembered only as an influence on more successful artists still to come a bands band perhaps. But over time it became clear that this music would not die. Instead the songs reached a new generation; spread by chants of Miiiilburn at other bands gigs and Social Media. The Courteeners, Arctic Monkeys and even a One Direction-er fell over themselves to lavish praise on the once defunct four-piece. Now thanks to overwhelming public demand Sheffields original heroes are back, selling out four massive anniversary shows in their hometown. A combined capacity of 10,000 tickets in under 5 minutes and a further 11,000 tickets for a SOLD OUT UK tour. Milburn have since played the 12,000 cap. hometown show at Don Valley Bowl. The show celebrated and cemented the bands return as well as highlighted the release of the bands third studio album which was recorded in Liverpool with Bill Ryder Jones. Songs Midnight Control and Keep Me In Mind are the first bits of new music in 8 years and have been very well receivedThe future is a very bright one indeed for the Sheffield cult heroes.
