This rabble of Norwegian young uns are the epitome of good vibes The Line Of Best Fit
March 5th marks the debut full-length release from Team Me, one of Scandinavias most innovative and promising acts. As grandiose as it is fragile and intimate, To The Treetops! is an enchanting collection of rich, orchestrated pop songs.
To The Treetops! sees the band build on the eager enthusiasm displayed on their acclaimed EP and have created a vivid collection of expansive and addictive tracks which take in influences from across the musical spectrum. In To The Treetops!, Team Me have produced a playfully experimental album full of depth and warmth, with each track bound together by their rich musicality.
Opening with the undulating and explosive Riding My Bicycle (from Ragnvalsbekken to Sorkedalen), the album ebbs and flows unpredictably throughout. Each track maintains an unashamedly melodic edge, from the shimmering and reflective Patrick Wolf & Daniel Johns to the folk tinged Dear Sister and closing with the chaotic and anthemic Daggers. To The Treetops!, produced by singer and songwriter Marius D. Hagen, is a sonically diverse yet cohesive album, full of hidden charm. Fans of Sufjan Stevens, Jonsi, Patrick Wolf and Broken Social Scene will find much to enjoy in To The Treetops!
Oslos Team Me has evolved from a collection of songs written by Marius, to a six person, multi-instrumental ensemble. The band have already received critical acclaim for their debut EP and energetic live performances and look set to build on this throughout 2012.
